FOR DAVID

If we are lucky enough to have at least one genuine hero in our lives, we are lucky indeed! How lucky are we then, those of us, whose lives have been touched by David? We were touched by his heroic courage, his boundless commitment to serve, and most importantly, his capacity to love. It radiated to each of us that were blessed to be in his presence. Like a spiritual magnet, we were drawn to David and we were enlivened. Our capacity to love and serve grew through him. David said to me "We can do this, we can make a difference." I thought, 'Coming from David, someone who has made a difference, we shall indeed make a difference!' I also remember thinking that to be included in David's work was to know, for certain, that I would contribute to the healing of my brothers and sisters in recovery.

Resting now and still showering us with his love David is waiting. Waiting with all those we love that came before him, he waits. We shall embrace David again for love never ceases. I know this now. There was this hole in my heart you see. It felt so empty. Until a Hero came and filled it all up.

Thank you, David.

Your Brother,

Corbett
